Ontario Bike Park Construction Incorporated (OBPC) is born out of passion. A passion to provide fun, sustainable cycling amenities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. In a digital age, OBPC believes strongly in the benefits that outdoor recreation and developing mechanical aptitude can imprint upon current and future generations. To this Mike Hession has invested in making Ontario Bike Park Construction the foremost design / build team available in Ontario and throughout Canada.
Mike is a second generation contractor and the owner of Ontario Bike Park Construction. He is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Heavy Equipment School, University of Guelph’s Ontario Good Roads program, a licensed hosting engineer and certified by the W.S.I.B. as a joint Health and Safety member.
Mike brings countless hours of operating experience in many forums of construction including road building and storm water management. Riding bikes is one of Mike’s passions, and he has excelled as a rider and organizer since 1981 when he was the founder of one of the most successful BMX race clubs in Canada. As an active member of the cycling community, Mike has risen to be a charter member of the OCA’s executive board of directors for BMX. His past accomplishments in the field of bike park construction include being the builder of the first asphalt pump track in Canada (2015) with the second having been completed in Sault Ste Marie in 2016.
His work building bike parks has also garnered him awards from the town of Orangeville and Youth Unlimited Revolutions.
